He is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). Costas Markides is also a Member of the Tax Reform advisory committee and a Member of the advisory team supporting the Ministry of Finance during Tax Treaty negotiations. He is the president of the Cyprus\/Kazakhstan Business association, an association which is operating under the auspices of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI).
